The day before on Sunday we scouted primarly north of Unity, SK. We ended up finding a couple of nice fields, one a unharvasted pea field with lots of snows and ducks, and a wheat field with approx 500 bigger Canadas.
We chose to go after the canadas in the wheat field on Monday.
The day started with me realizing that I had left Punch's collar and transmitter at th motel. Luckily we were only about 10 mins away. I got back just in time for the shooting to start.
Most of the geese went to the pea field but we did end up decoy a couple of group up close and in our face. Due to Kurts lights out shooting we did pretty good. Kurt ended up shooting 2 triples and 1 double.
Harvest: 11 Lessers, 4 Tanks, and 1 Drake

KurtYou notice in the picture that part of her tail seems to disappear into the grass. That is because it is staked to the ground with a tent stake. At least we won't have to camoflauge her, she is already the color of dirt.
